Abstract

What are the graduate-education needs of elementary school teachers in New York State, and how can the state teachers' colleges help meet these needs? The purposes of this article are twofold: first, to report the graduate needs of elementary school teachers as revealed by the survey of the Graduate Committee, State Teachers College, Cortland, New York; and sec ond, to portray the graduate program which is being inaugurated for in service elementary teachers and the new trend policies which the program involves.
