Abstract

This is a preliminary report describing a new Transmural Staple called the TS placed at flexible endoscopy. This staple, in the shape of a double T tilt-tag (in an H shape), can be placed through the standard channel of a 2.8 mm working channel of an endoscope as well as in the working channel of an EUS endoscope using an echogenic needle to allow control of penetration of the needle and better location of the delivery site of the tag. The staple can be placed at any location of the GI tract reachable by a flexible endoscope that has a 2.8 mm working channel.
