Abstract

Localization is one of the fundamental problems in Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN). Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI)-based localization is widely applied to node Localization. A RSSI-based localization scheme is put forward, which adopts the mean of RSSI data to select anchor nodes with better RSSI values, so as to reduce the interference and deviation. A three-dimensional trilateration method is proposed, employing three selected anchor nodes and a mobile anchor node to locate, and improving location accuracy. Simulation results show that the deviation has reduced significantly compared to traditional trilateration.
