Abstract

A Faddeev-type formalism for a three-charged particle, in which Coulomb, short-range, and three-body forces are included, is presented. In the reduction of the relevant equations, the generalized two-potential theory plays an important role. Explicit expressions for the physical amplitudes for [2] → [2], [2] → [3], [1] → [3], and [1] → [2] reactions are given. A method to measure directly the importance of the three-body force as well as the Coulomb interference term is suggested.
