Abstract

Naval Engineers JournalVolume 83, Issue 4 p. 42-48 A New System for Replenishment at Sea ALEXANDER LEHRER, ALEXANDER LEHRER ALEXANDER LEHRER joined the former McKiernan-Terry Marine Division of Litton Systems Inc. in 1968. He is Program Manager for Development of Replenishing-at-Sea machinery. He graduated from Cooper Union Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 1938. Started work for the U.S. Navy as a mechanical engineer in the Boston Naval Shipyard in 1939. Other positions held include Naval Architect in Design Division and Supervisor of Weight Estimating Section in the Bureau of Ships; Head Engineer in Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Camden, N.J.; Head Engineer, Hull Machinery Branch Naval Ship Engineering Center. He entered private industrial employment in 1967.
