Abstract
A new species, Xerodelphax ivanovi sp. n., of the subtribe Tanymecina (Tanymecini, Entiminae) is described and illustrated from the Ayagoz District of the Abai Region, Kazakhstan. The new species is similar to Xerodelphax parthicus Korotyaev, 1992 from Turkmenistan but differs in the pointed apex of the aedeagus, a broader pronotum anterior to and a narrower body. It is the first record of the genus Xerodelphax from Kazakhstan.
