Abstract

A new stenolophine species Kenyacus elvenisp. n. is described from the south-eastern part of the Rwenzori Mountains, Kasese District, Uganda. The new species was found a little apart from other members of Kenyacus occurring in these mountains and at lower (1688–1903 m) altitudes. It is easily recognized by having fronto-clypeal suture slightly rounded, rather deeply impressed and almost arcuately continued into the deepened frontal furrows, and by elytral striae very superficial and partly indistinct in basal half. Based on combination of its characters, the new species is included in the angustatus group sensu Kataev, 2019.
