Abstract

A new species of scale insect, Quernaspis quercicola, from Quercus laurifolia Michx., collected on Cumberland Island, Georgia, is described. The new species resembles Q. quercus (Comstock) but differs in that the median lobes are not completely fused and in the lack of dorsal submedian and submarginal macroducts.
