Abstract

SUMMARYPhyllachora aravalliense Dakshini, Tandon & Mukerji, sp. nov., has been described. It differs from the other known species of Phyllachora in having variously shaped ascospores which are sometimes sub-globose, are seldom more than 10.5 μ long, but invariably have 1 or 2, rarely 3, yellow inclusions (guttules). Its spermatia are 2 or 3 μ wide whereas in other species they are never more than 1 μ in width.
