Abstract
Soil samples collected from Romanian beech and beech-spruce forests yielded a new species of Paratrichodorus Siddiqi, 1974. Paratrichodorus macrostylus sp. n. can easily be distinguished from all known Paratrichodorus species by a peculiar and unusually long onchiostyle, greater body length and by the position of its excretory pore and ventral cervical pore both close to each other and to onchiostyle base. Paratrichodorus macrostylus sp. n. probably represents an endemic species in Romania.
