Abstract

A new species of centipede Lithobius (Ezembius) bilineatus sp. nov. (Lithobiomorpha) from Guangxi Zhuang Nationality Autonomous Region, China, is described. Although this new species resembles Lithobius (Ezembius) chekianus Chamberlin and Wang, it can be distinguished in its ocelli situated in two irregular rows versus in three rows, the terminal two ocelli comparatively large versus only the posterior most ocellus large, and in the 15th legs’ plectrotaxy. A key to the species of the subgenus from the Oriental region of China is given. Type material is deposited with the Department of Life Sciences, Hengshui University, Hengshui, China.
