Abstract

Lambdasporium lushanense sp. nov., an interesting hyphomycetes collected from rotten leaves of Taiwan was described, illustrated, photographed, and briefly discussed with L. viridense and L.wauense. This fungus was also compared with similar speices Curucispora ponapensis, Tricladium angulatum, Varicosporium eldeae and Volucrispora graminea. This fungus can be recognized as a new species, characterized by micronematous, mononematous conidiophores and k-, rarely y-shaped, septate, smooth, hyaline or subhyaline comidia.
