Abstract

Dalquestia rothorum, new species, from Mt. Graham, Graham County, Arizona, is described. A taxonomical key to the species of Dalquestia is provided. The harvestman genus Dalquestia was recently erected by Cokendolpher (1984) to include species incorrectly placed in Eurybunus Banks and Globipes Roewer. Dalquestia species will generally be identified as members of those genera in the few available taxonomic keys to North American harvestmen (Banks, 1901; Comstock, 1948; Roewer, 1923). Species of Dalquestia are easily separated from those of Eurybunus and Globipes by having the legs strongly angular in cross-section and by the presence of transverse rows of tubercles on the dorsum of the abdomen. The correct family placement of Dalquestia is still unresolved (see Cokendolpher, 1984). The discovery of a new species of Dalquestia in southeastern Arizona is interesting as all the species described are from distant localities (California,
