Abstract

A new species in the genus Haliaspis is described and illustrated. In Haliaspis texana n. sp., from Texas, the 2nd pair of lobes are well developed, extending beyond the pygidial margin, and the submarginal setae on the venter of pygidium are noticeably thinner than those on margin. A key to adult females is presented to separate species in the genus Haliaspis.
