Abstract
A new species of the Ascothoracida (Maxillopoda), Dendrogaster otagoensis, was found infesting the sea star Asterodon miliaris off the Otago coast, New Zealand. The infestation of a second sea star, Allostichaster insignis by Dendrogaster argentinensis, provides a new host record for this species.
