Abstract
A new pattern matching scheme was presented for speaker-independent voice recognition, which is utilized to mobile telephone voice activation dialing. A pattern of a test voice was analyzed on frequency and time axes. A newly proposed adaptive digital filter was used for frequencyaxis pattern matching. Conventional Dynamic Programming Matching was also utilized to compose frequency-time axes simultaneous pattern matching. The new voice recognition scheme was found effective by computer simulations. The prototype hardware is now being fabricated.
