Abstract
This paper describes the results of a six-month clinicalstudy of twenty-eight presbyopic subjects who were fitted with the Sof-form® annular bifocal soft contact lens with a bal-flange construction made by Salvatori Ophthalmics of Sarasota, Florida. The subjects were evaluated as regular contract lens patients. Distance and near visual acuities and near stereopsis were reduced with the soft bifocal contact lenses. The lenses were reported comfortable and no clinical physiological problems were observed. At the conclusion of the study, seventeen, (16%) of the subjects were still wearing their lenses.
