Abstract
The auto-collimation procedure of Arnulf and Francon (see Mesures Optiques, Editions de l'E.S.O., p.26, 1962) has been adapted for determining the optic axis of calcite. This apparatus measures the angle between the normal to the crystal surface and the optic axis.
