Abstract

Based on Capacitively Coupled Contactless Conductivity Detection (C4D) technique, a new sensor for the void fraction measurement of gas-liquid two-phase flow is developed. The research work can be divided into three steps: 1) To design a new six-electrode C4D sensor, which is suitable for the void fraction measurement of gas-liquid two-phase flow. 2) To develop the void fraction measurement model by Linear Regression method. 3) To test the effectiveness of the developed C4D sensor by void fraction measurement experiments. The research results show that the developed six-electrode C4D sensor is successful and the measurement performance of the sensor is satisfactory.
