Abstract
The proposed scheme exploits the concepts of shared cache and private cache techniques. The caches are separated as shared block caches and private block caches instead of using only private or shared caches in the multiprocessor system. Shared block caches are worked in semi-critical section. The simulation results show significant improvement in the system power over that reported by the available research on pure private or shared cache schemes.
