Abstract

In this paper, a new resource allocation strategy is designed to avoid the mainlobe interference (MI) for millimeter wave (mmWave) networks that will maximize the data rate for each UE. To find the best solution with minimum MI, the MI mitigation (MIM) algorithm is proposed which avoids MI for all UEs at each beam based on the identical timeslot. By using the adaptive mini-timeslot design, MIM algorithm will arrange all resource blocks (RBs) among all UEs without using the same timeslot for UEs in each sector. Simulation results show that the proposed MIM algorithm can provide a higher data rate for the uniform scenario compared to the genetic allocation (GA) approach with less complexity. As a result, the MIM strategy can enhance the performance of data rate among all UEs for mmWave networks.
