Abstract

The Weighted Order Statistic Filters (WOSF) are useful tools in digital signal processing. Their standard representation is not canonical, which is a major drawback in comparison or design issues. A new representation is proposed, which is based on the statistical study of the WOSF. Efficient conversion algorithms are presented. This representation is of interest for analyzing, comparing and designing WOSF.
