Abstract
RBC(Radio Block Center) handover of high-speed railway impacts greatly on the safety and efficiency of train operation. However, there are still many problems to be solved in the high mobility applications of GSM-R, especially the higher handover failure probability, which seriously degrades the reliability of railway communication. This paper proposes an optimized handover scheme, in which the coordinated multiple point transmission technology is applied to improve the traditional hard handover performance of GSM-R system.
