Abstract

Appropriate power management strategies in island operation mode of DC microgrid (MG) is one of the most important challenges. Therefore, various control strategies have been developed to obtain a good distribution of the full load between DGs relies on their capacity installations and to hold the voltage in the allowable range. This paper proposes a new control strategy based on combining control droop method and control average power-sharing (APS) method to improve the power-sharing of dc-MG. The good desired features and assuage the undesired effects of the mentioned power management methods is exploited. A strategy voltage controller and power-sharing controller for DGs are proposed. Furthermore, the principle of conventional droop and APS methods are presented. Finally, several scenarios of load variations are implemented using Matlab/Simulink software to compare the proposed control strategy with classic methods in term of the accuracy, effectiveness and power-sharing error.
