Abstract
The polyoxomolybdate (Bu 4N) 2[Mo 6O 19] reacts with AgNO 3 in methanol/dimethylformamide solution to give the complex {(Bu 4N) 2Ag 2[Mo 8O 26]} n , which contains infinite chain of [Mo 8O 26] 4− linked up only by a pair of Ag ions and displays attractive interactions between the two Ag I ions.
