Abstract

In this paper, a new bridgeless AC-DC single-ended primary induction (SEPIC) converter for power factor correction (PFC) is proposed. The proposed single phase rectifier has 2 bidirectional switch and 2 fast diodes. The output voltage depends on the switching frequency of the MOSFET. This converter produces low conduction loss, low total harmonic reduction and high power factor reaching near-unity. The circuit of this converter is simulated with universal input voltage capacity for 20–25V DC output voltage connected to resistive load. All the simulation work is done using MATLAB - Simulink.
