Abstract

A moment-based test of constant relative and partial relative risk aversion as defined in Pratt and Menezes and Hanson (1970) is proposed. The test is very general in the sense that it does not hinge on a single random variable nor on the linear asset model. The test is for a particular specification of ‘almost homogeneity’.
