Abstract

AbstractPhlogopite-spinel-bronzite rocks, in which aggregates of bronzite and sapphirine appear to be pseudomorphs of aluminous anthophyllite, occur in a restricted low-granulite terrain in the Strangways Range, central Australia. The form of the postulated reaction is gedrite + ΔH = enstatite + sapphirine + silica + escaping “ water ”.
