Abstract
M. Pierre Lavie of the University of Dakar has kindly pointed out to me that the name I recently bestowed on a Cyphostemma from Kenya has already been used by Bernard Descoings for a plant from Madagascar. This was most careless on my part and I can only say that I chose the name before 1964 but never published it; later I must admit to failing to check it in the index Kewensis. I hasten to rename it:
