Abstract

This paper presents a novel Multi-Device Boost Converter (MDBC) topology having reduced switching stress and high voltage gain as compared to existing DC-DC boost converter topologies. The proposed topology is based on Capacitor-Inductor-Diode (CLD) cell configuration. Further, the proposed topology reduces the input current and output voltage ripples. A detailed simulation study in MATLAB/Simulink for the proposed converter has been done and compared with the existing topologies. This paper also presents a new topology based on interleaved converter with CLD cell.
