Abstract

The construction of a simple universal chamber for long-term recording from submerged and interface brain slices is described. The medium is circulated and oxygenated constantly by an O 2-CO 2 gas mixture using the principle of a bubble pump. The design permits experiments which require long-term exposure to expensive drugs as well as great economy of oxygen consumption.
