Abstract
Recently orthognathic surgeries for correction of dentofacial deformities are well-established methods. But in aspect of soft tissue discrepancy, post-operative results are not so satisfactory, which means whereas after orthognathic surgery skeletal problems are solved during operation, soft tissue asymmetry still remains. It is not easily recovered by time or muscle re-orientation functional therapy. Hereby we now introduce the new method to correct soft tissue discrepancy in dentofacial deformity patients by using Endotine Ribbon® (Coapt Systems, Palo Alto, CA).
