Abstract
In this paper, we develop a new method of spin operator transformation for an easy-plane spin-one ferromagnet: H=-J Sigma (i,j)Si.Sj+D Sigma i(Six)2-h Sigma iSiz. The ground-state energy E0, the magnetization M and the magnon dispersion relation epsilon k are calculated analytically, and the contrast with other methods and numerical results are given.
