Abstract

Based on genetic algorithm, a new method of ISAR motion compensation is presented in this paper. Aiming to guarantee that GAMIC (genetic algorithm of maximum image contrast) and GAMIE (genetic algorithm of minimum image entropy) converge on the optimum solution, the optimum individual preserved tactical is adopted. Aiming to reduce the heavy computation of GAMIC and GAMIE, the minimum distance and the minimum entropy of the range profile after motion compensation are taken as the fitness functions of genetic algorithm. With improvements described above, two new ISAR motion compensation approaches, named as GAMRD and GAMRE, are proposed in this paper. These two new approaches have been verified by simulation data and measurement ISAR data.
