Abstract

An application of nonlinear least squares methods for determining the temperature models of coronal active regions, based on the measured X-ray line intensities, is described. These methods allow to obtain a better agreement of the observed and measured X-ray line fluxes than the methods which are used at the present time. If the line emission functions are dependent on the electron density, the new method also allows to study the temperature dependence of the mean electron density in the X-ray active region.
