Abstract
A new method for signal acquisition and analysis in high count-rate environment is presented. It consists in the acquisition of the whole signal waveform by means of a flash-ADC and in the fitting of the pulse shape with an appropriate analytical function. The performance of the method, in particular for n/γ discrimination and resolution of the pile-up events has been investigated. Further developments on this line are suggested.
