Abstract

Abstract A new method for measuring absorption spectra of transient species in the nanosecond time scale was developed. It is applicable to highly fluorescent systems and gives accurate results in spite of its rather simple optical alignment. The method was applied to the 1,2,4,5-tetracyanobenzene-methyl-substituted benzene and 1,4-dicyanobenzenepyrene systems.
