Abstract

A method for the immobilization of Chirasil-Val has been studied based on the cross-linking which takes place between terminal silanols of Chirasil-Val and polyfunctional silanes. A leached, dehydrated and tetramethoxysilane-treated glass capillary coated with silanol terminated Chirasil-Val containing 5% tetraacetoxysilane as a cross-linking agent showed a maximum extractability of 15% without any loss of chirality.
