Abstract

A new method for generation of grating structured light with non-diffraction characteristic has been proposed. In this method, the maximum non-diffraction range, strip-width and maximum transmission distance of the grating structured light with non-diffraction characteristic can be adjusted flexibly through the variation of the installation angle of the two plane mirrors used. Theoretical analysis and simulations have been carried out to verify the feasibility of the method. Experimental setup has been built and the results prove that this system has properties of adjustable non-diffraction range, strip-width and maximum transmission distance with long focal-depth, narrow strip-width, stable special sinusoidal density distribution and high fringe contrast, which shows great advantages and good prospect in three-dimensional surface profile measurement.
