Abstract

While using a track detector located in a magnetic field to investigate the correlation of identical particles with momenta similar in value, it is necessary to know the behavior of the detector efficiency and (or) event-reconstruction program in the specific case whereby the tracks are set closely to each other throughout their lengths. With this goal in mind, we proposed to analyze the dependences of the correlation functions of particles, differing widely in mass, on their relative momenta. The method is based on the assumption that the physical and methodical singularities of the correlation function for these pairs lie in different kinematic regions.
