Abstract

The existing ultrasonic measurement system mainly includes two kinds: the ultrasonic ranging system and the ultrasonic positioning system. The traditional ultrasonic positioning system only measures the positional relationship between the ultrasonic transmitter and the ultrasonic receiver without considering the emission angle of the ultrasonic transmitter. This paper proposes a neural RSSI model to measure the emission angle of an ultrasonic transmitter. This model is proposed based on the sound field radiated by a circular piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer. Three ultrasonic receivers use to form a receiving array to calculate the emission angle of the ultrasonic transmitter. The measurement error is less than 0.8 degrees. Due to the simple structure of the model, it can also be implemented on the MCU platform.
