Abstract
A new Cd(II) coordination polymer, namely [Cd3(mbdc)(TZ)3(COO)(H2O)]n (1 H2mbdc = m-phthalic acid, TZ = 1, 2, 3-triazole), has been successfully synthesized under solvothermal conditions. Single-crystal X-ray analysis reveals that 1 features a two-dimensional (2D) layered structure based on 1,2,3-triazole controlled double helical chain subunits. Luminescent investigation shows that it emits strong fluorescence at room temperature in the solid state.
