Abstract

The proton gyromagnetic ratio in water has been measured by the low field method using atomic magnetic resonance in /sup 4/He, a multicurrent solenoid and an induction method for the dimensional measurement of the solenoid. The result for air and vacuum environment is /spl gamma/'/sub p/ (low, air)=2.67515451/spl times/10/sup 8/ s/sup -1/ T/sup -1/ (0.18/spl times/10/sup -6/), /spl gamma/'/sub p/ (low, vacuum)=2.67515418/spl times/10/sup 8/ s/sup -1/ T/sup -1/ (0.18/spl times/10/sup -6/), based on the adopted values K/sub J-90/=483597.9 GHz/V, R/sub K-90/=25812.807 /spl Omega/, and measured values /spl gamma/(/sup 4/He)//spl gamma/'/sub p/=658.200556, /spl gamma/(/sup 4/He) (air)=1760.78819/spl times/10/sup 8/ s/sup -1/ T/sup -1/ (0.18/spl times/10/sup -6/), K/sub J-90/, R/sub K-90/.
