Abstract

CANCER detection clinics in the United States are few in number. For the most part, cancer detection procedures are performed by physicians as part o f their examination of symptomatic patients. The performance of comprehensive cancer detection examinations is not a widespread practice. However, the rate o f cancer detection at the Preventive Medicine Institute Strang Clinic is approximately 2009/oo greater than the reported cancer incidence for a population of the same age group in New York State (excluding New York City).
