Abstract
Most of the ECG signals recorded suffer from the presence of power line interference. Removal of power line interference is important for analysing ECG. Notch filters can be used to remove the stationary power line interference. However, adaptive cancellers are used to handle non-stationary power line interference. In this paper, an existing adaptive interference canceller is modified by considering the error at the neighbouring samples in estimating the power line interference parameters. The performance of the modified adaptive canceller is further improved by using error filtering and adaptation blocking.
