Abstract

URING 1941, Mr. John W. Hilton secured a collection of reptiles and amphibians in southern Sonora which has been deposited in the American Museum. A report on this collection is in preparation. Preliminary investigations disclose an undescribed subspecies of Callisaurus draconoides represented by nine specimens. The race differs from Callisaurus draconoides inusitatus of central coastal Sonora in several characters, most conspicuous of which is a relatively shorter foot. The new race, therefore, may be known as:
