Abstract
•1,2-dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine, DMPC, complexes were prepared with pentaethylene glycol n-octyl ether, C8E5•Various q values were sampled between 0.05 and 0.5, a parameter used to describe DMPC bicellar complexes.•DMPC-C8E5 lipid complexes were characterized using a combination of light-scattering and modeling methods to determine shape morphology.•31P-NMR analysis of DMPC in both C8E5 complexes and DMPC/DHPC bicelles shows bilayer-like properties•DMPC-C8E5 complexes adopted a spherical-shaped micellar structural morphology.
