Abstract

Abstract The New Hampshire Technical Institute is located in Concord, NH. Serving a population of 40,000 this public, two year college began to plan for a new library building in 1990 which would include not only print and electronic resources, but art in the form of paintings and sculpture as well as an open microcomputer lab. The design process reflected a blend of traditional and progressive themes resulting in a building that is both functional and beautiful. Library buildings
