Abstract
A new kind of conformal antenna for 5G communication in remote areas is presented in this study. The optimizing parameters of the antenna are theoretically derived and the results are discussed through the simulation. The conformal antenna could achieve 100% relative impedance bandwidth and peak gain>4dBi at 5GHz. More importantly, the far-field patterns of the conformal antenna in some vertical planes have a wide beam width which could make it easy for the antenna to receive signals from all directions by adjusting the antenna orientation. The conformal antenna has shown great practical value in 5G communication.
