Abstract

This paper presents a new Kerr electro-optic measuring system with a linear charge coupled photodiode array (CCPD) sensor for electro-optic receiving and conversion. The new system has certain advantages such as high signal/noise ratio, fast response and high resolution, and is consequently suitable for measuring the dynamic processes of electric field and space charge distribution. Employing the new system, the electric field and space charge distribution in nitrobenzene under DC voltage is measured, and some new results are given in this paper. >
